Medics Charged With Murder in Bribe Case
From Times Wire Reports
POLAND
Two doctors and two ambulance workers have been charged with murder over allegations that they let patients die or killed them outright to collect kickbacks from funeral homes in the city of Lodz, Polish officials said.
The four defendants were charged in a total of 19 deaths. There was no evidence that the funeral homes knew that people had been slain.
Investigators are also analyzing thousands of other deaths in Lodz in recent years.
