In the second race, two multicar crashes in the first seven laps forced race officials to cut the race to 25 laps. Despite the crashes, Pursley easily held off Todd Southwell for the win. In the 50-lap Auto Club Late Model season finale, Tim Huddleston earned his fourth win of the season, holding off track series champion Doug McComb.
