So They Accept Jobs to Avoid Their Families?

Regarding “Northrop’s Shipyard President to Step Down,” Sept. 17:

Northrop Grumman’s statement that the head of its Newport News Shipyard would be leaving his post to spend more time with his wife is reminiscent of George Tenet’s assertion that he was stepping down as CIA director to spend more time with his family.

Wouldn’t it be refreshing, for a change, to hear a candidate for one of these high-powered jobs who, after he’s offered the job, says he’s accepting the job because he wants to spend less time with his family?
