Anti-Musharraf Strike Supporters Are Arrested

Police in Pakistan have arrested hundreds of supporters of an Islamic group planning a nationwide strike to try to force President Pervez Musharraf to step down, officials said.
Police in Karachi, the country’s commercial capital, said they had arrested as many as 200 activists of the six-party coalition that called today’s strike.
