A Saudi princess pleaded not guilty Friday to charges she forced two Indonesian women to be her domestic servants by confiscating their passports and threatening to harm them if they left.

U.S. Magistrate Joyce London Alexander released Hana al Jader, 40, on a $1-million bond while she awaited trial. The court ordered Al Jader to surrender her Saudi passport and placed her under house arrest until her bond financing was verified.

Assistant U.S. Atty. Theodore Merritt said Al Jader was a flight risk, citing her frequent travels and wealth, and asked the judge to deny her bail. She was indicted on charges of forced labor, domestic servitude, falsifying records, visa fraud and harboring illegal immigrants.
