Advice best ignored

Thank God Bill T. Jones [“Brash and Bruised,” March 27] didn’t “come out ... with a cold” and talk to me when I should have already had a “clear artistic vision by high school,” because it would have been a waste of time for him. I would still have immigrated to Los Angeles because I wanted to dance. And why? Because even at such a young age, I would have recognized that his insensitive attitude was a load of old bollocks.

Since then, I have had amazing and enriching experiences being able to work with world-class entertainers, musicians, producers, dancers and, yes, wonderful choreographers.

Inspire, inspire, inspire! Isn’t that what a true artist supposedly does, Mr. Jones?
