15 Left Dead in Attacks on Convoy, Chief’s Office

Suspected Taliban gunmen ambushed a convoy of civilian trucks carrying vehicles to the U.S. military in the southern part of the country, killing three drivers, an Afghan official said.
The trucks and two military vehicles were damaged.
Separately, dozens of fighters attacked the office of a district chief in the south, killing three Afghan soldiers, another official said. He said officials believe the soldiers killed about nine rebels.
