Half Moon Bay Housing

Re “Priced Out of Public Service,” March 29: I find it the height of irony that the Half Moon Bay councilman has fought new housing and now finds himself unable to afford a home. How can he complain about housing prices out one side of his mouth and criticize new development out the other? Too bad other Half Moon Bay residents have to pay the price for his shortsightedness in artificially constricting his community’s housing supply. Hopefully his move will open a place on the council for someone willing to address the cause of the housing problem, not simply complain about the effect.
