Proposal Is All Wet
Re “Historic Aqueduct in L.A. to Be Buried,” March 31: The Center for Law in the Public Interest believes there is a “tremendous interpretive opportunity” regarding the unearthing of part of the Zanja Madre water supply system near Chinatown. Well, if you just walk a couple of blocks to Olvera Street, you will find an exhibit covering the water history of Los Angeles, including an exposed portion of the Zanja Madre. There is no need for a redundant effort at taxpayer expense.
