Update -- Not including a split of two “road” games against the Lakers, the Clippers are 26-14 at Staples Center, their best home record since the 1992-93 season, when they were 27-14 at the Sports Arena. They needed two overtimes to defeat the Hornets, 100-91, at Staples Center in December, then lost a month later at New Orleans, 88-85, on a last-second three-point shot by Dan Dickau. The Hornets have lost six consecutive games, including Friday’s 97-72 defeat at Seattle, and are 7-33 outside New Orleans, the worst road record in the Western Conference.
