Harvard Hires Former N.H. Gov. Shaheen

Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government named Jeanne Shaheen, New Hampshire’s first elected female governor, to lead its Institute of Politics, effective July 1.
Shaheen, a Democrat who served three two-year terms as governor, will succeed Philip Sharp.
Shaheen, 58, will oversee such activities as the resident Fellows Program, conferences and seminars for elected officials, and the John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum, the school’s main stage for public affairs, events and debates, the university said.
