at Connecticut, 4 PDT

Site -- Mohegan Sun Arena.

Radio -- 690 (7 p.m., delayed).

Records -- Sparks 12-13, Sun 20-6.

Record vs. Sun -- 0-1.

Update -- The end of the Sparks’ marathon trip -- eight games in 19 days-- is nearly here. After tonight, Los Angeles finishes the trip in New York on Wednesday. But the Sparks, who are 2-4 on the road swing, are in danger of falling from the playoff picture. They have the same overall record as surging Phoenix, but the Mercury has the tiebreaker edge. There is no relief today from the Sun, which beat the Sparks by 20 when the teams met in June. Connecticut, the Eastern Conference leader, is half a game ahead of West-leading Sacramento for the league’s best record and home-court advantage in the playoffs.
