* Microsoft Corp. warned users of its Windows operating system of three newly found “critical” security flaws in its software, including one that could allow attackers to take complete control of a computer.

* A federal judge in New York dismissed claims that Microsoft Corp. and Softbank Corp., which sells high-speed Internet service in Japan, helped defraud investors in Global Crossing Ltd. The investors sought to hold Microsoft and Softbank liable because their executives sat on the boards of Global Crossing and its Asian subsidiary.

* Register.com Inc., which manages 2.9 million Internet domain names, agreed to be acquired by private equity firm Vector Capital Corp. for $200 million in cash.
