Board Restates Privacy Policy After Leaks
County Supervisors Tuesday reiterated their privacy policy after two memos were leaked to the media this summer.
“No individual board member has the right to determine which communications from this office are intended as confidential ... and which are not,” Deputy County Counsel Daniel Haueter said in a memo made public by the board.
The action came in response to memos leaked to local newspapers: one asking how a chief of staff could be fired and the other involving settlement talks with a land developer suing the county.
