Buttafuoco Pleads Not Guilty to Ammo Charge
Joey Buttafuoco, who made headlines in the 1990s because of his affair with a teenage girl who shot his wife, pleaded not guilty Friday to a charge of illegal possession of ammunition.
Prosecutors said the charge stems from a search of his Chatsworth home by probation officers. Buttafuoco, 49, was sentenced in March 2004 to a year in county jail and five years’ probation after pleading guilty to felony insurance fraud.
Buttafuoco’s young girlfriend, Amy Fisher, dubbed the “Long Island Lolita,” was sent to prison in 1992 for wounding his wife.
