From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Fewer arrests of rowdy fans were made at Sunday night’s Chargers-Raiders game than at any such game on record, officials said Monday.

Fifty-two people were arrested, 46 on suspicion of being drunk.

An average of 30 arrests are made at Qualcomm Stadium during San Diego Chargers football games, but when the Oakland Raiders visit, the average climbs to 120 to 130, officials said.

Increased police presence and chilly weather were cited by officials as helping to diminish trouble.
