Just forget those tired stereotypes

Regarding Cindy Chang’s article [“There’s a Reason She Won’t Pick Up,” Dec. 1] and the guy who tried to pick her up with the oft-used line “Are you Japanese?,” my female Asian friends and I have a special radar and run in the opposite direction of these Yellow Fever Asian Fetishists. A kind request to these types: If you’re approaching us with some geisha/concubine/Thai prostitute fantasy in mind, please don’t even bother.
