From Times Wire Reports

A state district judge told Rep. Tom DeLay’s lawyers that he wouldn’t schedule hearings in the Texas Republican’s money-laundering and conspiracy case until after Christmas.

Judge Pat Priest said he would be working on other cases and would not be available until Dec. 27 to take up pending motions in DeLay’s case, which stems from a 2002 campaign finance controversy.

DeLay, 58, along with GOP fund-raisers John Colyandro and Jim Ellis, is accused of illegally funneling $190,000 in corporate donations to 2002 legislative candidates in the state.
