Nation’s Dangerous Roads See Fewer Deaths

Road accidents in China killed 89,749 people in the first 11 months of the year, 7.6% fewer than the number killed during the same period last year.
Roads in China are among the world’s most dangerous, with frequent accidents resulting from reckless driving, poor road conditions and overloaded vehicles.
The country’s economic boom has meant more people buying cars and obtaining driver’s licenses. Many people also drive without a license.
