The Dallas Stars are perfectly comfortable playing on back-to-back nights.

Marty Turco earned his second shutout of the season, and Brenden Morrow scored his 10th goal and assisted on Jere Lehtinen’s 17th, leading the Dallas Stars to a 2-0 victory over the Senators on Thursday night at Ottawa.

Turco stopped 25 shots for his 23rd career shutout as Dallas recovered from Wednesday’s 4-3 loss in Buffalo. Dallas has gone 14-3 -- including a pair of five-game winning streaks -- to surge into first place in the Pacific Division.

The Stars improved to 6-0 this season in the second game on consecutive nights.

“We pride ourselves on showing up on both nights,” Turco said.

Ottawa, which entered with the most goals scored in the NHL (124) and the fewest allowed (59), was shut out for the second time this month and lost for only the third time in 15 home games.
