Overseer Named for Trade Center Memorial
An executive who played a major role in repairing the World Trade Center in New York after it was bombed in 1993 was appointed to oversee construction of the memorial to the Sept. 11, 2001, victims.
William H. Goldstein will be the executive vice president of construction for the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation, which is responsible for raising funds for the memorial, and building and operating it.
The memorial, scheduled to open in 2009, will include two reflecting pools framed by the names of the victims, an outdoor plaza and oak trees.
