30-Year Mortgage Rates Slip to 6.22%

Rates on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 6.22% this week, down from 6.26% last week, mortgage company Freddie Mac said.
Rates on 15-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 5.76%, down from 5.79% last week. One-year adjustable-rate mortgages fell to 5.15% from 5.22%.
The nationwide averages for mortgage rates do not include add-on fees known as points. Thirty-year mortgages carried an average fee of 0.5 point. Fifteen-year mortgages had an average fee of 0.6 point, and one-year mortgages carried a fee of 0.7 point.
