Army Denies Directing U.S. Artillery Fire

Pakistan’s army denied that it helped direct U.S. artillery fire from Afghanistan across the border toward militants in Pakistan, after an American military official cited the development as a new sign of cooperation.
“This report is baseless and ludicrous. There is no truth in it,” Brig. Shahjehan Ali Khan said.
