* Maxtor Corp., the world’s No. 2 disk-drive maker, said it had a fourth-quarter loss of $70.2 million and sales of $1.03 billion. The net loss was 28 cents a share, contrasted with net income of $38.8 million, or 15 cents, a year earlier, the Milpitas, Calif., company said. Sales fell from $1.17 billion. The firm expects to restate some earnings after discovering misreported results.
