No Criminal Charges for CIA Over Downed Plane

Federal prosecutors have decided not to seek criminal charges against CIA officers who were part of an anti-drug operation that was involved in the mistaken 2001 downing of a missionary plane in Peru, which killed two Americans.
Justice Department officials previously had not even acknowledged that they were investigating potential misconduct, such as whether the officers lied to lawmakers.
