Second Recent Amtrak Train Wreck Kills Two
From Times Wire Reports
Amtrak’s City of New Orleans train hit a truck at a railroad crossing in Independence, killing two men. It was the train’s second fatal wreck in five days on a 10-mile span of track. No one on the train was hurt.
The two fatalities were in an electrical contractor’s bucket truck, authorities said. The wreck was near where a man, his two daughters and his fiancee’s daughter died Sunday when the City of New Orleans hit their pickup.
