Is she in the game?

The huge spread on Vanessa Bryant [“Kobe’s Costar,” by Shawn Hubler, Feb. 15] has no place in a major national newspaper. There are plenty of people actually doing things in the world of arts, entertainment and media who would have been of interest to your readers and who would have benefited from press coverage.

Your mean-spirited article about Vanessa Bryant was completely uncalled-for. As you mentioned in your article, she is only 22 years old. On top of that, she is not a public figure. This young lady is clearly having a tough time in the spotlight. Why make it worse by vilifying her? If you’re looking for a target, pick on someone her husband’s size. Shame on you.
