* Former Enron Corp. Chairman Kenneth L. Lay asked a federal judge to schedule his securities fraud conspiracy trial to begin Dec. 1.

* A federal judge delayed until March 17 the start of a trial brought against Wall Street firms by investors who lost money in the collapse of WorldCom Inc., now MCI Inc. The trial was scheduled to begin Feb. 28.
