From Times Wire Reports

Brazilian police at an Amazon ranch found the gun that killed an American nun, and troops caught a third suspect in her slaying, authorities said.

Brazil has deployed 4,000 troops to Para state after Dorothy Stang was killed Feb. 12 as she fought illegal loggers and ranchers encroaching on a state-run peasant settlement.

Police said the pistol was found on the ranch of Vitalmiro Bastos de Moura. They suspect he paid gunmen to kill Stang.
