Clubs helped rock the O.C.

Re “Upon the Rock a Scene Was Built” (Feb. 17), Marc Weingarten skipped right over the ‘80s club scene in Orange County. It was stronger than anything. My agency booked more than 300 bands in 150 venues by the time I left in 1992. They all worked and got to make money at their craft. This offered a school for these players to work and learn.
