The former U.S. Air Force arms buyer at the center of a Pentagon contracting scandal has begun a nine-month sentence at a Florida prison, officials said.

Darleen Druyun, 57, was taken into custody at the Marianna, Fla., women’s prison.

Druyun pleaded guilty to conspiracy for having negotiated a $250,000-a-year job with Chicago-based Boeing Co. while still overseeing the company’s business with the Air Force.
