Getting yourself over that exercise ‘wall’
Re “What Keeps Us at It?” [Jan. 3]: The one thing the article didn’t mention that I have found with others, and experienced myself, was a “wall” that I had to get through after about a year. One day my mind and body had a big argument about going jogging. Finally my mind convinced my body to just go over the “wall” and jog. That was a defining moment for me, and I think it’s something that isn’t talked about.
You don’t have to push every day once it has become a habit, but there is that one time that you really need to do it. At least that is my experience.
