Chris Blackwell’s Palm Pictures plans to appeal the Motion Picture Assn. of America’s R rating (for language) for its upcoming release, “Gunner Palace,” about American troops in Iraq.
The film includes first-person responses to combat from soldiers of the Army’s 2/3 Field Artillery Unit as they operated out of the ruins of Saddam Hussein’s former pleasure palace.
