UConn Coaches to Stay On

Connecticut gave men’s basketball Coach Jim Calhoun and women’s coach Geno Auriemma multiyear contact extensions, the university announced Friday.

Each coach led his team to a national title last season. Calhoun, in his 19th season with the Huskies, received a six-year contract worth $9.1 million; and Auriemma, in his 20th season, signed a five-year deal worth $4.86 million.
