Detroit Coach Bill Laimbeer was ejected and four of the game’s five technicals were called against the host Shock in an 80-63 Sacramento victory here Friday night.

Laimbeer had to leave after receiving two technicals with 3:49 left in the first half for protesting what he thought was a foul by a Sacramento player in front of the Shock bench.

Sacramento Coach John Whisenant got the first technical with 9:18 left in the first half for arguing with an official. Detroit’s Cheryl Ford, who finished with eight points, received a technical with 18:08 left in the second half. Shock assistant coach Rick Mahorn got the last technical in the final minute. Laimbeer’s early exit marked the third time he has been ejected in four seasons.
