Scottie L. Bright, 36, of Montgomery, Ala.; staff sergeant, Army. Bright was one of two soldiers killed Tuesday when an improvised explosive device detonated near their Humvee while on patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Ft. Carson, Colo.

Jeremy A. Brown, 26, of Mabscott, W.Va.; staff sergeant, Army. Brown died July 3 in Mosul, Iraq, of injuries suffered earlier that day when the Humvee in which he was riding accidentally rolled over in Tal Afar. He was assigned to the 66th Military Intelligence Company, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Ft. Carson, Colo.

Lyle J. Cambridge, 23, of Shiprock, N.M.; corporal, Army. Cambridge was one of two soldiers killed Tuesday when an improvised explosive device detonated near their Humvee while on patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Ft. Carson, Colo.

Rafael A. Carrillo Jr., 21, of Boys Ranch, Texas; specialist, Army. Carrillo was killed June 28 when a mortar detonated near his Humvee in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Ga.

Christopher W. Dickison, 26, of Seattle; specialist, Army. Dickison was killed Tuesday when an improvised explosive device detonated near his patrol in Baqubah, Iraq, northeast of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment, 1st Infantry Division at Ft. Riley, Kan.

Danny P. Dietz, 25, of Littleton, Colo.; petty officer second class, Navy. Dietz was one of two Navy SEALs who died while conducting counterterrorism operations in Afghanistan’s Kunar province. The Pentagon provided no details on the circumstances of their deaths. Coalition forces found the commandos’ bodies while conducting a combat search-andrescue operation Monday. Their whereabouts had been unknown since June 28. Dietz was assigned to SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team 2 in Virginia Beach, Va.

Anthony M. Mazzarella, 22, of Blue Springs, Mo.; private, Army. Mazzarella was killed Tuesday when the Humvee in which he was riding accidentally rolled over in Taji, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 13th Armor Regiment, 1st Armor Division at Ft. Riley, Kan.

Chad M. Mercer, 25, of Waycross, Ga.; sergeant, Army National Guard. Mercer was killed June 30 when his Bradley fighting vehicle rolled over in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 121st Infantry Regiment, Army National Guard in Fitzgerald, Ga.

Ryan J. Montgomery, 22, of Greensburg, Ky.; specialist, Army National Guard. Montgomery was killed July 3 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during a convoy in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 623rd Field Artillery Regiment, Army National Guard in Campbellsville, Ky.
