Thank you for “An Unexpected Signing Bonus” (July 3), regarding the friendships that can develop between agents and their clients. Over the many years I have been selling residential real estate in Los Angeles, I have met and become friends with so many people I never would have met otherwise, and I consider this to be a tremendous side benefit of my business. When you are working so closely with people, you sometimes get to know them in a way that even their closest friends and relatives don’t, and this can forge a unique bond between you.
