Push Begins to Retrieve Five Treasures Abroad

Egypt said it was launching a campaign for the return of five of its most precious artifacts from museums abroad, including the Rosetta Stone in London and the bust of Nefertiti in Berlin.
Zahi Hawass, the country’s chief archeologist, said Egypt also wanted the sculpted Zodiac ceiling from the Dendera Temple, now in Paris; the statue of Hemiunu in Hildesheim, Germany; and the bust of Ankh-haf, now in Boston.
