Police Say Man Chased 12-Year-Old Into Traffic

A 12-year-old boy who was firing bottle rockets at cars was chased into traffic by an angry driver and killed by another car, authorities said in Spanaway.
The driver and his passenger, both 22, were arrested for investigation of manslaughter, the Washington State Patrol said. The passenger had chased down the boy’s cousin, who was also firing the rockets, and beat him before both men fled the scene, officers said.
The driver who ran over the boy was not charged.
