Italian Man Is Accused of Murder-for-Hire Plot

Prosecutors on Thursday charged an Italian man with a murder-for-hire plot against the parents of his slain American girlfriend.
Carlo Alberto Ventre faces three counts of solicitation to commit murder for allegedly scheming to kill the parents of Toni Dykstra, his child’s mother.
Authorities deported Ventre to Italy last week to face charges in Dykstra’s 1998 slaying in his Rome apartment.
