New anchor: CNN correspondent Frank Buckley has been named co-anchor of the 10 p.m. weekend newscasts at KTLA-TV Channel 5, starting tonight.
Taper casting: Alfred Molina will play Lopakhin, the man who buys “The Cherry Orchard” in Chekhov’s play, at the Mark Taper Forum, Feb. 12 through March 19. Annette Bening is the only other actor announced for the production thus far.
Sitcom: Former “Seinfeld” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus will play the title role in a new CBS sitcom, “Old Christine,” which is on the network’s midseason roster.
