Five Children Die in Fire; Rescue Impeded by Bars

Five young children -- siblings and cousins -- died in a fire that swept quickly through a Philadelphia row house, and fire officials said security bars in the home’s windows slowed the attempted rescue.
A man and woman escaped with serious injuries, jumping from a second-floor window, officials said.
