Dozens of Journalists Arrested After Protest
Nearly 100 journalists were arrested after scuffling with police during a protest to demand that King Gyanendra immediately lift media restrictions in Nepal imposed four months ago.
Meanwhile, the army said communist rebels killed at least six soldiers and two police officers patrolling near Ghartichap village in the mountains about 50 miles west of the capital, Katmandu. In the ensuing battle, six Maoist rebels were also killed, the army said.
A rebel website confirmed the attack, but said only one of the rebels was killed.
