Ex-U.S. Detainee Cleared of Charges

A suspected Islamic extremist who spent nearly three years imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, was acquitted of all terrorism-related charges in Kuwait.
Nasser Mutairi, released by the U.S. in January, was acquitted of joining foreign military forces without permission, harming Kuwait by serving the interest of a “foreign country” and undergoing illegal weapons training. The charges did not name any country or force.
