Re “Bush, Putin Spar Over Democracy,” Feb. 25: Russian President Vladimir V. Putin was right in his response to President Bush when he added, “Democracy is not anarchy.” Bush has taken away our freedoms and privacy with the Patriot Act, exercised imperialism with his war in Iraq and brought America close to the same anarchy that we declared our independence from over two centuries ago.
