ACLU Has Gone Too Far

Re “Display of Scripture May Split Justices,” March 3: Despite criticisms from many, the American Civil Liberties Union has done courageous work over the years. However, things are getting to a quixotic point with its current attempt at removing long-standing images of the Ten Commandments from public buildings. I am neither a member of the ACLU nor any religious group, but I feel it weakens the public perception of its causes with these sorts of efforts. I believe I have found a solution. The members will certainly see things in perspective by simply agreeing to return to the Treasury all their funds that have on it the words “In God We Trust.”
