Apartment Fire Sends Man to Hospital
A man was hospitalized with burns to his face and hands Friday after a fire destroyed a ground-floor apartment and extensively damaged a unit above, fire officials said.
The blaze started about 2:45 p.m. in a complex in the 1000 block of West MacArthur Boulevard, said Fire Capt. Ben Gonzales.
The victim’s name has not been released, and the fire remains under investigation, Gonzales said.
