U.S. Army reservist Lynndie England, who was shown holding a naked Iraqi prisoner on a leash in some of the most inflammatory photographs that exposed abuse at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, will be court-martialed on May 3, the Army said in Ft. Hood.
Pfc. England, 22, is charged with nine criminal counts including conspiracy, dereliction of duty, maltreatment of detainees and the commission of indecent acts, all said to have been committed against Iraqi detainees in the latter part of 2003 at the prison west of Baghdad.
