Coldplay a

hot ticket

So Coldplay fans got a rush of blood to the head when they scored $10 tickets to see their favorites up close at the Troubadour in WeHo on Friday. The Brit band took the stage for 90 minutes and debuted four new songs. Among those who got a slice of musical nirvana at the KROQ-sponsored event were Gwyneth Paltrow (who is married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin), Teri Hatcher, Jason Bateman, Chris Kattan, Don Johnson, Robbie Williams and Colin Farrell, who was visibly peeved when the box office refused to give him three tickets (he got two).... And Hatcher has been getting her club-on all week. She was also spotted at the Bar in Hollywood, which celebrated its one-year anniversary last Thursday. And the actress kicked it with pals from the TV show “Lost” at L.A.’s Yi Cuisine on Saturday night.

Birthday boys / girls

Big week for actor Danny Masterson, who celebrated his birthday twice. On Sunday, he threw himself a shindig at Guy’s nightclub, and Monday he partied down again at Tokio. Sounds like he’s taking a cue from Hugh Hefner, who marks his birthdays at a trail of clubs from here to Vegas.... Speaking of birthdays, singer Blu Cantrell celebrated hers at Shelter in WeHo last night.... Celebutante Bijou Phillips and model Caroline d’Amore hosted a Fashion Week kickoff party for Complex magazine and Rock & Republic jeans on Tuesday at the Spider Club in Hollywood. And BlackBerrys are still buzzing over the Alliance’s Sony bash at the Pacific Design Center, which launched the latest high-tech gadgetry, the portable PSP. Among those who came to get wired were designers Marc Jacobs, Henry Duarte and Diane Von Furstenberg, who each created cases for the PSP. Also, such celebs as David Arquette and Courteney Cox Arquette, the Duff sisters, Owen Wilson, Jessica Alba and Shooter Jennings made the scene.

Beachy keen

The Redondo Beach nightclub Lattitude’s is getting a serious makeover. The beach club debuts its new look and sound, which includes a 32-channel sound board, in April, and its first big show is on April 15, when A.M.I. Productions invites Orange County hard-core band Ignite to fire up the stage.... Tonight at Weber’s Place in Reseda you can serve your country by cheering on singer-songwriter Amethyst, who recently finished a tour of duty in Iraq.... Bluesmith Keb’ Mo’ jammed with the China Club Pro-Jam at the Vine Street Lounge last Monday.... Club Beat It!, the cutest 18-and-older night in town, celebrates its sixth year at the Ruby on Sunday night.... And the Monday staple Rock ‘n’ Roll Karaoke celebrates its one-year anniversary at the Bigfoot Lodge in Atwater Village on April 4.... Nothing like an all-girl AC/DC cover band to warm your heart on St. Patty’s Day, and that’s what you’ll get at the Garden of Eden in Hollywood tonight, as Girls Got Rhythm performs hard-rockin’ classics. Have a drink on me.
