TURN on the tube on a Thursday night and you might catch Madchen Amick brokenhearted over her unrequited love for Noah Wyle on “ER,” raging over her one-night stand with John Stamos on “Jake in Progress” or dominating the very naive Matt LeBlanc on “Joey.”

The actress, best known for her turn on “Twin Peaks,” has been heating up the dial lately as television’s lady love du jour. In October, she joined NBC’s “ER” as Dr. Wendall Meade, the doomed new lover of Dr. John Carter (Wyle). Two weeks ago she appeared in the pilot of ABC’s “Jake in Progress” as Kylie, a woman Jake (Stamos) bedded the night they met and promptly forgot. On Thursday, she moved into Joey’s apartment complex on the NBC spinoff for a five-episode arc that could leave the hotblooded Joey (LeBlanc) hopelessly in love for the first time.

You’ve been spreading your love around. How did you wind up as the tube’s No. 1 hot lover girl?

Yep, I’ve been spreading my love. You know, I’m just that girl trying to find love, trying to find someone who loves her and respects her. It’s all airing at the same time, but I did the pilot with John Stamos last April, and I started “ER” in August. It’s a wild coincidence that it’s all on now.

Isn’t it crazy? I’m with John, Jake and Joey on Thursday night. All J’s and all on Thursday.

So who’s the cutest?

They’re all pretty cute in different ways. You have John Carter, who is the quiet, a little more brooding type. Very cute and very smart. Then you have Jake, who is flamboyant, out there, getting very distinguished-looking in his older age. But he has that wandering eye! If you just want to have a fun night, you would go out with him. And Joey might be that special one that you settle down with because he can make you laugh. He’s charming. He’s still boyish but very cute. He’s, like, dumb and innocent, but in his core, he’s very respectful of women.

Your character, Wendall, is breaking up with Carter, isn’t she? The last time we saw her, she got out of bed and left. And you only have one episode left, right?

Yes, well, he took a phone call in the middle of the night from his girlfriend in Africa. Excuse me! And acted all weird and continued the conversation. And she’s like, “Yeah, I’m pretty much done with that.” Boy, John Carter is complicated. Wow. I really took on a doozy with that one! My character knew better. She knew he was going through some pretty major stuff -- and she’s a psychiatrist -- but she fell for him because he was very endearing.

They actually had spoken about bringing me back, but they weren’t really sure what they were doing yet. So I ended up moving on to Joey. Wendall changed her name and moved to California.

Were you a “Friends” fan?

It’s very surreal in a way. I’ve had to sort of keep my being a fan down, like under wraps: “Oh, my God, I’m working with Joey.” When I see Matt do the Joey things, I’m like, “That’s really good!” And then I have to say, “I’m sorry, I’m supposed to be in character.”

Luckily, my character gets to enjoy him. My character, Sarah, moves into the apartment complex. And I’m a photographer, so Joey takes notice because there are all these beautiful models coming in and out of my apartment. She sees right through his lines and throws him off his game, and he doesn’t know what to do with her.

We’ve seen you kiss Noah. Have you kissed Matt and John?

When I looked at the other episodes of “Jake in Progress,” I thought, “I’m the only woman who didn’t kiss him.” That’s actually kind of good, you know? But maybe I should go back now and get a quick kiss so I can compare.

You didn’t kiss him, but Kylie and Jake had slept together once.

That was before. They left it to our imagination as to what it was like. And I really imagine it being very bumbling and fumbling but hot and passionate at the same time. Very drunken. They both didn’t exactly know what happened.

Has Sarah kissed Joey yet?

Oh, yeah. Immediately!

Do tell. Who’s a better kisser -- John Carter or Joey?

Well, the way it was written, John and Wendall have this very reserved kissing. With Joey it’s very passionate. Every time, it’s been really passionate, which Matt says is very new for Joey because they usually imply stuff in the writing but they never show it. So he says it’s new territory for Joey. It’s pretty hot and heavy stuff. They’re heating it up on the sitcoms.

So what does your husband say about all of these hot new guys in your life?

He’s very excited for me. It’s easy for him. He just has to set up the TiVo on Thursday night.
